Comedian Andrew Maxwell live
An Irish comedian with a world-wide perspective, Andrew Maxwell relates some funny stories in his silky smooth accent.
They say the US and UK are two nations separated by a common language. There is a lot of truth in that, but cultural differences are also bigger than you might think at first. Andrew Maxwell observes that Americans have big fears, like aliens, whereas the Irish and Brits worry about small fears, like, disappointment.
The comedian doesn’t worry about terrorism either, having grown up with “the troubles” on his own doorstep. And after an episode in the desert, he has no fear of Muslim gangs either.
This all makes him sound like a hard man, but if you look at Andrew Maxwell, the stand-up comic is a typical washed-out pale-face paddy who weighs 140lbs in his wet clothes. But he does a pack a punch with his humor and is a good representative of many comedians from the Emerald Isle.
