Comedian Bill Hicks

Bill Hicks comedian is no longer here, but his comedy legacy lives on.
The funny guy in black is remembered with much affection by fans, and
with a mixture of disgust and amazement by less happy members of the
audience who bore the brunt of his many tirades.

Hicks didn’t always get away with his outrageous comedy routines. In
fact he had his leg broken by a couple of Vietnam vets who took offense
at one of his anti American dream remarks.

In this clip, marketers were the focus of the comedian’s bile, and
let’s hope his joke about arsenic for baby food doesn’t ever
materialise as another line, ahead of its time.

Bill Hicks has often been quoted by other comedians as one of the best
for his insightful humor and sense of comedy. For some reason, though,
his genius wasn’t fulfilling enough for him, and he filled much of his
life with drugs and alcohol. Eventually ill health got the better of
him, and comedian Hicks couldn’t joke his way out of death from cancer
in 1994.
